This is the smaller tin of Classic English Breakfast from Akbar: 100g of loose black tea, a useful size for trying the blend or for a gift alongside other teas.
The leaf is high-grown Ceylon black tea of Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP) grade from the Dimbula region. Brewed, it is strong and malty at first, with a crisp, brisk finish and a dark colour. It is made to stand up to milk, as a breakfast tea should, but it is also clean enough to drink black.
The decorative metal tin seals well and keeps the leaf away from light and damp between pots.
