About this experience
Your private chauffeur collects you from your Kandy hotel and drives you to Kaudulla National Park — a 9-hour day that puts you deep inside one of Sri Lanka's most biodiverse wildlife reserves. The journey is made in an air-conditioned private vehicle, so you arrive refreshed and ready. Once inside the park, you board a dedicated jeep for a 3-hour safari, scanning the reservoir shoreline and surrounding scrub forest for elephants, spotted deer, wild buffalo, and a rich variety of resident and migratory birds.
Kaudulla is renowned for large elephant gatherings, particularly around its ancient tank, making it one of the most rewarding parks in the country for close, unhurried wildlife watching. A bottle of water per person is provided, all taxes and service charges are covered, and hotel drop-off in Kandy is included at the end of the day. Minimum age for this private tour is 7 years. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included.
