Facilities

You may use the natural pool (with deep and shallow ends), natural fish therapy and natural Jacuzzi in the Rocky River 'Belihuloya' that cascades down few feet below your suite/cabana. Walk through bean, cabbage or tomato farm or through a paddy field and talk to a villager and learn their farming methods and lifestyles. Stroll down the property to see many kind of birds, butterflies and also chameleons/lizards. Immerse yourself in a book on the front deck overlooking the mountains, river and lush vegetation. Things to do

Day excursions are possible, to World's End, Adam's Peak, Udawalawa Elephant Safari, Diyaluma Falls, Bambarakanda ancient ruins, Ella, Nuwaraeliya, scenic train ride from Demodara/Haputale to Hatton and return to The Glenrock.

Location

BELIHULOYA, a very picturesque little hamlet renowned for its eco tourism opportunities. This beautiful hillside location is a climatically transitional area, linking both the dry and wet zones and at an altitude of 616m. As a result, the vegetation consists of moist semi-evergreen forests, tropical savanna forests, dry patana grasslands and forests, making it one of the richest bio-diversity spots in Sri Lanka.

Pahanthuda Ella - The base of this 4.6 metres (15 ft) waterfall is shaped like an oil lamp. The name Pahanthuda is derived from the Sinhala word “pahana” for lamp. It is located approximately 1km from the glenrock.
