Ancient Nutra Turmeric Extract is a food supplement in the black ENHANCED tub of the Ancient Nutra range, with 60 capsules. The back label reads Organic 95% Curcumin (Turmeric Extract) with Piperine (Black Pepper Extract): each capsule combines a curcumin extract with plain turmeric powder and a black pepper extract.
Turmeric is the yellow root of Curcuma longa, and curcumin is the compound that gives it its colour. Piperine is the compound that gives black pepper its bite. The extract is standardised to 95% curcuminoids, a more concentrated form than the whole ground root.

- Turmeric powder: 385mg
- Curcumin extract (95% curcuminoids): 200mg
- Black pepper extract: 15mg
The maker describes it as non-GMO and vegan, with no preservatives.
How to use
The label's directions: one capsule with a meal, two times a day. The maker suggests an eight to twelve week course followed by a short break. Ask a doctor before use if you are pregnant, nursing or on any prescription.
