Question 1

Where is the Lakpura counter at Colombo airport?

Accepted Answer

The Lakpura counter operates under the Ayubowan Tours name in the arrival lobby of Bandaranaike International Airport. After clearing immigration and customs, walk into the public arrival hall and look for the Ayubowan Tours signboard among the licensed tour operator counters.

Question 2

How do I reach the Lakpura duty manager at the airport?

Accepted Answer

We share the 24/7 duty manager numbers with you when your booking is confirmed. Always call the duty manager first if you cannot locate your representative — they can assist faster than the general sales line.

Question 3

What do I do if I cannot find my Lakpura driver at Colombo airport?

Accepted Answer

Stay inside the arrival lobby and call the duty manager, on the number we shared with you, before exiting the terminal. Do not accept offers from unlicensed drivers outside the building. The duty manager monitors incoming flights and can locate your representative quickly.

Question 4

Does the Lakpura airport counter operate for late-night arrivals?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the counter team and duty managers maintain 24-hour, seven-day coverage. Many international flights into Colombo land between midnight and 5 a.m., and staff are always present for those arrivals. Flight delays are tracked, so the representative adjusts their schedule accordingly.

Question 5

How long does immigration take at Bandaranaike International Airport?

Accepted Answer

Clearance typically takes between 30 minutes and two hours depending on flight schedules, nationality, and season. Peak months — December to February and July to August — tend to be busiest. Having a valid ETA and your accommodation details ready will help move things along. Your Lakpura representative will be waiting however long it takes.

Question 6

Can I arrange an airport transfer to Negombo with Lakpura?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Negombo is the closest major tourist destination to Bandaranaike Airport, roughly 8 km away, making it a common first or last night stop. Lakpura can arrange a private transfer as part of your itinerary, and the counter team can coordinate the handover directly with your driver.

Question 7

Does Lakpura offer transfers to other airports in Sri Lanka from CMB?

Accepted Answer

Lakpura arranges both ground transfers and domestic air connections from Colombo Airport to regional airstrips, including those serving Batticaloa, Anuradhapura, and Ampara. Speak to the counter team on arrival or contact the duty manager to discuss onward routing.
