Tea and Experience Factory

The tea factory is a masterpieces of prefabricated industrial engineering with well proportioned, corrugated iron facades with a standardized structural frame. As with Everything else of this period, The ingenuity and practically of the Victorian engineer cannot be negated.

Part of the working Tea Factory has been converted into luxury accommodation and comprises of 16 rooms designed to help you relax. Each room is equipped with an attached bathroom and includes facilities to suit a variety of travel needs. The dormitory has access to separate female and male bathrooms.

Location

Located in the Central Province in the Hanguranketha divisional secretariat, ‘Tea and Experience Factory’ is located in Mandaramnuwara, Kabaragalla at the foothills of ‘Piduruthalagala’, the highest Mountain in Sri Lanka. Apart from tea, the predominant crops of the area are terraced paddy and vegetable cultivations which are farmed using traditional techniques.
