A set of model question papers in the Gunasena scholarship practice series, prepared for primary pupils working towards the scholarship examination. Star Edition is the first stage in a sequence that continues with the Super, Smart, Bright and Genius editions, each intended to be worked through in turn as a pupil's preparation advances.
The set contains model papers with answers supplied, so a child can sit a paper under timed conditions and a parent or teacher can mark it afterwards. A video programme in which the papers are discussed has been produced to accompany the set; it is reached by scanning the QR code printed on the back cover.
The compilers are Sajith Abeysekara and Kasun Ganewaththa, both experienced primary teachers who completed their National Diploma in Teaching at Hapitigama National College of Education, Mirigama.
This book is written entirely in Sinhala. The questions, the answers and the accompanying material are all in Sinhala, and the video programme follows the same medium. It is intended for children sitting the Sri Lankan scholarship examination in the Sinhala medium, and for the parents and teachers preparing them. Buyers abroad should order it with that in mind: without Sinhala reading, the papers cannot be used.
