Used in traditional Sri Lankan construction practices, a Foundation Main Stone is the first stone laid in masonry foundation which is also considered an auspicious moment among many locals. Punsanda Industries who excels in indigenous medicines along with their knowledge of astrology introduced the 1st foundation stone in Sri Lanka in 1955 and thereon “Punsanda Nidan Wasthu” have not failed in both quality and excellence. It’s a ceremonial event and an important part in building houses and structures while there are six different types of foundation stones available.
- Punsanda Nidan Wasthu (Foundation Main Stones) I - This foundation main stone consists of 58 separate items featuring the Yantra Rajaya (Usually the five elements constitute a Yantra and is included for prosperity), protective oil bottle, incense packet, elephant and serpent images, trident, Vel weapon, the sword any many more. It also comes with four extra items to be placed in the four main corners of the building.
- Punsanda Nidan Wasthu (Foundation Main Stones) II - Comes with a collection of 42 separate items, featuring the Yantra Rajaya (Usually the five elements constitute a Yantra and is included for prosperity), protective oil bottle, incense packet, elephant and serpent images, trident, Vel weapon and many more.
- Punsanda Nidan Wasthu (Foundation Main Stones) III - Consisting of 41 separate items, this main stone features the Yantra Rajaya (Usually the five elements constitute a Yantra and is included for prosperity), protective oil bottle, incense packet, elephant and serpent images, trident, Vel weapon and many more.
- Punsanda Nidan Wasthu (Foundation Main Stones) IV - This comes with 38 different items including the Yantra Rajaya (Usually the five elements constitute a Yantra and is included for prosperity), protective oil bottle, incense packet and many more.
- Punsanda Nidan Wasthu (Foundation Main Stones) V - This foundation stone comes with 37 different items including the Yantra Rajaya (Usually the five elements constitute a Yantra and is included for prosperity), protective oil bottle, incense packet etc.
- Punsanda Nidan Wasthu (Foundation Main Stones) VI - Comes with a collection of 36 separate items featuring an incense packet and many other materials.
