Om denne oplevelse
On the evening of 21 August 2026, the 4th Kumbal Perahera winds through the streets of Kandy as part of the island's most celebrated Buddhist festival. Take your private seat and watch a procession of elaborately decorated elephants move in formation, accompanied by the beat of traditional Kandyan drums and the rhythmic steps of costumed dancers. The two-hour spectacle honours the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha and marks a pivotal moment in the festival's build-up towards the grander Randoli Perahera nights ahead.
Your ticket, arranged by Lakpura, covers the entry fee and a dedicated private seat so you have an unobstructed view of the procession. Please note that a personal guide, food, and drinks are not included, so arrive prepared. Minimum age for this event is 12 years. This is a shared public event, and the atmosphere — torchlight, drumming, and the slow rumble of the elephant procession — does the rest.
