About this experience
Your Lakpura chauffeur guide collects you directly from your Habarana hotel and drives you to Kandy in a private, air-conditioned vehicle — a journey that sets the tone for a full day in Sri Lanka's last royal capital. At the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, walk through ornate shrines and take in the layered architecture of one of Buddhism's most venerated sites. Afterwards, step into the workshops of local artisans — gem crafters, woodcarvers, and batik makers — where you can watch traditional crafts being made and pick up a handmade souvenir to take home.
The tour continues to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, home to a rare and extensive collection of tropical plant life spread across beautifully landscaped grounds. Complimentary water is provided throughout the day. Note that entrance fees, meals, and gratuities are not included. The full excursion runs approximately 10 hours 30 minutes, with hotel drop-off in Habarana at the end of the day.
