Hike to Danigala Circular Rock from Aaralaganwila

Lace up your boots and set off from Aaralaganwila to conquer Danigala, a striking circular rock formation in Sri Lanka's north-central interior. The private five-hour hike leads you up a trail that opens into sweeping 360-degree viewpoints across the lowland plains of the North Central, Uva, and Eastern Provinces — paddy fields, lakes, and forest reserves stretching to the horizon in every direction.

Lakpura keeps you well fuelled for the climb: two organic energy drinks, three litres of water per person, a snack and fruit bag, and a cool towel are all included, along with a hiking bag to carry your kit (returned at the end). Once you're back down, a changing area and shower facility at the village lets you freshen up before heading on. The hike is open to participants aged five and above. Gratuities and any additional food or drink are not included.
