Dried curry leaves (karapincha) from Bowatte, in a 20 g pack. These are the leaves of the curry tree, Murraya koenigii, dried so they keep in the cupboard. They bring a savoury, slightly citrus note that is part of everyday Sri Lankan cooking.

How it is used
- Fried briefly in hot oil with mustard seeds and onion at the start of a curry
- Added to soups, stews, dhal and rice dishes while they cook
- Crumbled into homemade spice blends and curry powders
Storage
Keep the pack sealed in a cool, dry place away from light. Dried leaves lose their scent quickly if left open to the air.
