About this experience
Your Lakpura chauffeur guide collects you from your Kandy hotel at 8:00 am and sets off on a private, 10-hour circuit of five landmark Buddhist temples. Begin at Embekke Temple, renowned for its intricate woodcarvings, before moving on to Gadaladeniya Vihara with its distinctive South Indian stonework and Lankatilaka Vihara, whose towering architecture commands the surrounding landscape. A detour into the rock-cut Degaldoruwa Cave Temple reveals vivid Kandyan murals, and the day concludes at the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic in the heart of Kandy.
Throughout the tour you travel in an air-conditioned vehicle with a water bottle provided per person. Hotel drop-off is included at the end of the day. Entrance tickets to the temples and meals are not included, so bring local currency for admissions and any refreshments you pick up along the way.
