Barberyn Reef Ayurveda Resort is a beachfront wellness resort in Beruwala on Sri Lanka's south-west coast, with direct access to the beach. Beruwala town is 2.7 km away, Aluthgama 1.7 km and Bentota 2.8 km, and the resort lies 81 km as the crow flies from Bandaranaike International Airport.
The resort specialises in traditional Ayurvedic treatment. Guests consult experienced Ayurvedic doctors, who draw up personalised programmes that can combine herbal medicines, dietary plans, yoga, meditation and a range of therapies. The restaurant serves Ayurvedic cuisine prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and yoga and meditation sessions are held daily.
There are 75 rooms, including sea-view rooms and spacious suites. Between treatments, guests can swim, take nature walks or join cultural excursions into the surrounding area.
It was my 4th time at Barberyn and my 3rd at Barberyn reef, they are simply my family away from home.
