Hot Air Ballooning in Dambulla

Board your balloon at Kandalama between 5:30 and 6:00 am as the first light breaks over the horizon. Your pilot guides the craft above the Kandalama Tank, the Golden Buddha statue, and the unmistakable silhouette of Sigiriya Rock, pointing out each landmark as the landscape brightens beneath you. The flight lasts between one hour and one hour and a half, depending on wind direction and landing conditions. Dress in comfortable clothes, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring a light layer — it can be cooler at altitude.

Hotel pickup is included if you are staying in Habarana, Sigiriya, Dambulla, or Kandalama, with departure times from 4:45 am onwards depending on your location. Lakpura handles all transfers and taxes; simply arrive ready to fly. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included. Note that the flight operates subject to weather conditions.
