Board your private vehicle in Kandy and head into Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle for two days of history, wildlife, and village life. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide takes you through the ruined city of Polonnaruwa, where ancient palaces and dagobas stand in the open air, then up to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, whose frescoed galleries and water gardens tell the story of a 5th-century sky palace. A traditional home-cooked meal gives you a genuine taste of rural Sri Lankan life along the way.

On the second day, enter Minneriya National Park for a jeep safari and watch herds of elephants gather at the reservoir. All entrance fees — including Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, the Temple of the Tooth, and Minneriya — are covered, along with fuel, parking, highway tolls, and two 500 ml water bottles per person per day.
