Gin Ganga House, Galle, Sri Lanka

Turn off the main Colombo Road one kilometer before Galle and just 400 meters from the beach is Gin Ganga House, standing on two acres of lush land surrounded by the Gin Ganga River and Mahamodera Lake on three sides. This luxury Sri Lankan villa was built some 15 years ago and brought its' renowned Colombo architect several design awards. There are spectacular views from Mahamodera Watte. Gaze across the lake and watch the Kingfisher zoom past with his latest catch on the Sea Eagle soar to meet its prey. Stroll around the garden full of exotica fruits like Mango, Paw Paw, Banana, Avocado and more.
Gin Ganga House Accommodation
There are 5 double bedrooms and five bathrooms in the main house. (The island house has a double bedroom, lobby and bathroom.)Four of the house bedrooms are en suite the fifth bedroom has a bathroom that also acts as the shower room for the swimming pool. All five bedrooms have fans and remote control air conditioning. Four of the bedrooms have balconies all with lake or river view. Sleeps 10.
Gin Ganga House Facilities
Above the hall is a large gallery that provide access the upper bedrooms and has a second sitting area, ideal for games or reading. Also on the first floor is a laundry and linen room with swimming pool towels.

:: The Barbeque Hut
You will find yourself spending many hours beneath the coconut roof of the Barbeque hut. It's centre piece is a huge single piece of polished timber supported by four stout ebony legs to form a dining table for up to 10 people. In this place you will feast all senses, watch the wildlife on and around the lake that goes on oblivious of your presence. In the heat of the day is provides that much needed cool spot and a real closeness to nature.

:: The Swimming Pool
A 15 by 7 metre pool with blue tiles allows the energetic to do 'lengths' and the others to simply float around. The water temperature reaches over 35 degrees and never lower than 32 degrees, so you can stay as long as you like and enjoy the wildlife and the views of lake and jungle.
