Kahandamodara, turning off just after Ranna on Galle -- Hambantota main road. Closest main town is Tangalle (15 km) .Named after the flocks of peacocks that strut across the land, this 10 acre retreat lies on the eastern bank of the Urubokka Oya. Open scrub land typical to the southern dry zone merges with river-side vegetation. They are gradually turning parts of the high ground back into a dry zone farm, whilst foresting other parts of the land.

At Kahandamodara Monara Thanne have a bungalow and cottage which can accommodate upto 11 adults and 4 children with each unit having specially designed areas for relaxation and optional sleeping. In keeping with their philosophy of minimizing energy usage all our bedrooms have fans rather than air conditioning. They provided mosquito nets for all their guests. All rooms have attached toilets with hot and cold water.

Siyambala:
Named after the Siyambala tree that shades the entrance, this open format bungalow has three bedrooms and large living areas. As with their other bungalows, they added a pantry with a fridge. they find a pantry is particularly useful for families with young children.Siyambala is given out as a single unit as the large open spaces are specially designed with families and friends in mind. The entire upper level takes the form of a deck... this is where relax, read and when the stars are particularly bright, they carry their bedding up for the night.

Kohomba: It have a lot of fun building this cottage and it seems the vibes have been retained! The unit consists of a large bedroom, open format dining and living space, along with their trademark "up-in-the-roof" optional sleeping space. The unique feature of Kohomba is the plunge pool we have experimented with...a new dimension to our pre-occupation with fun bathing spaces. This cottage is set away from Siyambala to maintain privacy of both units.
