String Hopper Products

String Hoppers, also known as (Idiyappam; ඉඳි ආප්ප), are a popular South Indian and Sri Lankan dish made from rice flour. The dough is pressed into fine strands using a special mold and steamed to create delicate, noodle-like cakes. Typically served for breakfast or dinner, string hoppers are often paired with coconut milk, curries, or sambol. The dish is light yet satisfying, offering a subtle taste and smooth texture. Idiyappam is gluten-free, making it an excellent option for those with dietary restrictions. Its versatility allows it to be enjoyed with both sweet and savory accompaniments.
