Villa Ocean View is a large beach hotel at Molligodawatte in Wadduwa, on the south-west coast of Sri Lanka. It sits directly on the sand, with its gardens and outdoor pools looking out over the Indian Ocean, and it is a relaxed, resort-style base for a few days by the sea within easy reach of Colombo.
The hotel stands on the beach at Molligodawatte, Wadduwa, about 34 km south of Colombo along the coast. Pothupitiya Beach is right in front of it, and Wadduwa Beach is a short walk along the shore. The nearest railway station is Wadduwa, about 1 km away on the coastal line between Colombo and Galle, and the neighbouring town of Waskaduwa is around 3 km to the south.
Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) is about 75 km from the hotel by road, and the drive around Colombo and down the coast usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. The most comfortable way to arrive after a long flight is a private transfer arranged in advance: Lakpura can arrange a car, van or coach with an English-speaking driver to meet you at the airport and take you straight to the hotel, and to bring you back for your departure flight.

Besides the outdoor pools there is a children's pool, and the hotel offers massages and Ayurvedic treatments. For more active days there is an outdoor tennis court and a gym. Wadduwa itself is a quiet beach town, so most time here is spent on the sand or by the pool; Colombo is close enough for a day of shopping and sightseeing, and Lakpura can arrange private transfers and day tours along the coast from the hotel.
