About this experience
Board a shared boat from Bentota and head south into the Indian Ocean in search of the largest mammals on earth. Over nine hours, you scan the open water for blue whales, sperm whales, and fin whales moving through their natural habitat — no tanks, no enclosures, just the open sea. Your hotel pick-up and drop-off are arranged, and an English-speaking chauffeur handles all road transfers in an air-conditioned vehicle, so you arrive at the departure point relaxed and ready.
A litre of bottled mineral water is provided per person to keep you going on the water. Note that meals, personal expenses, gratuities, and tickets are not included. Minimum age for this shared-boat tour is five years, making it a practical option for families travelling with older children.
