Spend three hours on the Kelani River with Lakpura's private River Adventure Package in Kitulgala. Your experienced, English-speaking guide leads you through two back-to-back sessions: white-water rafting on the river's rapids and a canyoning circuit through the surrounding terrain. All safety equipment is provided, so you arrive and get straight into it. The package wraps up with a buffet lunch. Minimum age is 13; hotel transfers and gratuities are not included.
Kitulgala sits roughly 90 kilometres east of Colombo in the heart of Sri Lanka's rainforest belt, making it the country's premier spot for river-based adventure. The Kelani River here is fast, rocky, and well-suited to both first-timers and those who've rafted before. Keep your waterproof bag handy for your camera — the gorge scenery rewards it.
