Climb into your canoe, strap on your life jacket and helmet, and push off into the freshwater currents of the Kelani River at Kitulgala. Your experienced local guide leads the group through the session, which covers water that can run deep, so every participant receives a full safety briefing before setting off. Canoes, oars, life jackets, and helmets are all provided, and water is included to keep you refreshed on the water. Bring a towel and a change of clothing — you will want both by the end.
This is a one-hour shared activity open to participants aged 12 and above. Follow your guide's instructions throughout, and you'll have a safe, hands-on introduction to canoeing in one of Sri Lanka's most popular adventure destinations. Food, beverages, and gratuities are not included and are at your own expense. Lakpura handles the logistics so you can focus on the paddle.
