Question 1

What is Wattakaka volubilis used for in ayurveda?

Accepted Answer

In the Sri Lankan ayurvedic tradition, Wattakaka volubilis is used primarily for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. A qualified ayurvedic physician should be consulted before use.

Question 5

What phytochemicals are found in Wattakaka volubilis?

Laboratory studies have identified alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, and terpenoids in various parts of the plant. Some in-vitro research suggests antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, though clinical evidence to support specific medical claims remains limited.

Question 6

How is Wattakaka volubilis identified in the wild?

Accepted Answer
