Off Road in Wilpattu Park

Wilpattu National Park is the largest, oldest and most important national park in Sri Lanka. The concentration of "villus", the flat basin like fault depressions on the earth surface containing purely rain water, is the main topographical feature. The large mammals that can be seen at Wilpattu National Park are elephants, sloth bear, leopard and water buffalo. The villus wetland support a wide variety of bird life.
