The Palmyrah House sits out on the Mannar peninsula, roughly 3.5 km from Pesalai (PES) Station and 4.8 km from Thoddaveli (TVD) Station, with Mannar City itself about 11 km away. It is a quiet corner of the island, well away from the usual tourist routes.
Rooms are arranged in three categories, Standard, Superior and Deluxe, so there is some choice depending on space and budget. Meals can be taken as Room Only, Bed and Breakfast, Half Board or Full Board, useful given how little there is in the immediate area to eat out.
This is a base for travellers heading to or from the Talaimannar side of the peninsula, or exploring Mannar's own sights, rather than a resort with facilities of its own.
