True to its name, the Airport Villa is located a short drive away from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake. The villa which borders a canal is also of proximity to the Negombo lagoon. The property comprises of a main villa area as well as a new wing that consists of rooms and suites equipped with modern furnishings and amenities. Kitchen facilities are available in both units but there is also a caretaker to get you groceries when needed. Breakfast can be provided upon request while there is a swimming pool for guests to enjoy a dip in warm weather.
The Airport Villa in Katunayake consists of the Main Villa area as well as a new wing. The main villa can easily accommodate 5 guests while the New Wing consists of a Deluxe Double Room, Deluxe Suite Room, a Family Suite as well as a Twin non Air-conditioned room. All rooms and suites are well equipped with modern facilities while all rooms are decorated with stylish Teak furnishings so that guests can enjoy their stay in comfort. Most rooms of the new wing overlook the garden and the pool area enabling guests to enjoy a refreshing holiday.
A fully equipped kitchen is available at the Airport Villa in Katunayake while it also offers facilities if guests are willing to enjoy their own cooking. The kitchen is equipped with a double door refrigerator, microwave oven, a four burner cooker etc in the main villa while the new wing consists of facilities for light cooking options. The villa offers you the services of an in-house caretaker who can venture out to the market with your shopping list. A continental or local breakfast can be arranged upon request while you can enjoy a good spread of tropical fruit and an assortment of Ceylon tea and coffee by the pool. There is a menu on request but you can venture out to the city and enjoy the local cuisine as well. A well maintained outdoor swimming pool (30ft x 15ft) is available for recreational purposes. The villa also comprises of a large parking area which is convenient for guests.
Since the expressway is a convenient route of transportation, guests can easily travel to Colombo in approximately 20 minutes. The commercial hub is well known for its shopping malls, various historical and modern landmarks and heritage sites which have been revamped and refurbished. Katunayake is also of proximity to Negombo which is a fishing town along the Western coastal belt of Sri Lanka. There are many water sports activities that are available for sports enthusiasts to enjoy. The Dutch Canal allows you to enjoy boat rides while the Muthurajawela Wetlands can be explored by boat if time permits.
Located in Seeduwa which is about a 5 - 10 minute drive from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, the Airport Villa offers a comfortable stay in Sri Lanka. The Liyanagemulla railway station is about 500 meters away from the villa while you can catch a train to Colombo Fort according to a scheduled time table. Taxis and public transport options are also available from the vicinity of the Airport Villa. The Villa is also ideally located 50 meters away from a supermarket while the Katunayake Free Trade Zone is also close by. Built within a half acre land which is closer to the Negombo Lagoon, the villa also borders a canal.
We had booked Deluxe double Room, then upgraded by the owner to the only two-bedroom Villa. It has two bedrooms, one with a large double bed and the other with two single beds. This villa is suitable for a couple with two children…
