About this experience
Board an air-conditioned vehicle at your Ahungalla hotel and travel to Yala National Park — Sri Lanka's second-largest national park and one of the world's most leopard-dense reserves. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide handles the drive, so you arrive ready to explore. A dedicated safari jeep and English-speaking safari driver-tracker take over for the three-hour game drive through scrub forest, open plains, and reservoir edges where wild elephants gather to drink. Scan the tree lines for the Sri Lankan Leopard, keep binoculars handy for aquatic birds nesting along the waterways, and watch for crocodiles, spotted deer, and water buffalo along the route. A water bottle is provided per person.\n\nThe full excursion runs nine hours door to door, covering hotel pickup and drop-off in Ahungalla. Entrance tickets to Yala National Park, meals, and gratuities are not included. Minimum age for participants is five years. This is a private tour — no strangers sharing your jeep — and all guiding is conducted in English.
