About this experience
Set off from Galle in a private, air-conditioned vehicle with your English-speaking chauffeur guide for a two-day sweep through Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle. On day one, walk the corridors of the Dambulla Golden Cave Temple — a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as both an ancient kingdom stronghold and a Buddhist monastery. Afterwards, climb Sigiriya Lion Rock, the 5th-century fortress of King Kasyapa, and take in panoramic views across the jungle canopy below. Round off the afternoon with a village tour in Sigiriya to see local life up close.
Day two puts you in a safari jeep for a three-hour wildlife safari in Minneriya National Park, where elephants gather in large numbers around the reservoir. Accommodation for the overnight stay, entrance fees, and meals are arranged separately, keeping the tour flexible. This private, English-guided experience is open to travellers aged five and above, with all road transport handled throughout.
