About this experience
Your Lakpura chauffeur collects you from your hotel in Kandy and drives you to Kithulgala — roughly a 90-minute journey through misty hills and rubber plantations — in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. On arrival, your English-speaking guide walks you through safety briefings and equipment checks before you hit the river. The minimum age for this tour is 11 years.
Strap into your life jacket and paddle into the rapids of the Kelani River, cutting through the dense Kithulgala jungle. The session covers genuine white-water stretches with natural rock formations on either side. A one-litre bottle of water is provided per person. The full outing runs approximately 6 hours 30 minutes, including return transfers to your Kandy hotel. Food, beverages, and gratuities are not included.
