About this experience

Board a private 4×4 jeep — seating up to six passengers — and head into Wasgamuwa National Park alongside an experienced driver who doubles as your tracker. Over three hours you follow the banks of the Mahaweli River, Sri Lanka's longest river, scanning the bush for wild elephants, scanning the treetops for rare bird species, and reading the landscape for the ruins and remains of ancient civilisations that once thrived here. A chilled water bottle is provided for each guest.

Your Lakpura booking includes free pickup and drop-off from any location within 5 km of the park entrance gate. Park entrance fees and any food or beverages are paid separately on the day. Children aged five and above are welcome on this private safari.
