About this experience
Board your private safari jeep in Habarana and head into Minneriya National Park, one of Sri Lanka's most celebrated wildlife reserves. Over three and a half hours, your driver-guide navigates the park's open grasslands and scrub forest, where large herds of wild elephants congregate around the ancient Minneriya reservoir — particularly spectacular in the dry season. Keep your eyes open for spotted deer, water buffalo, painted storks, and the occasional crocodile along the water's edge.
This is a private tour, so the jeep is yours alone. Lakpura arranges complimentary hotel pickup and drop-off for guests staying within 5 km of the park entrance. All taxes and service charges are covered. Food, drinks, gratuities, and personal expenses are not included. Guests must be at least five years old to join the safari.
