About this experience
Board a 4WD jeep and spend three hours exploring Minneriya National Park with a private naturalist guide. Minneriya is best known for its seasonal elephant gatherings at the reservoir — one of the largest concentrations of wild Asian elephants anywhere on the planet. Your guide doubles as tracker, scanning the dry-zone scrub and open grasslands for the park's 24 mammal species, 160 bird species, and an impressive count of reptiles and butterflies. A complimentary water bottle is included per person, and the jeep holds a maximum of six passengers.
Pickup and drop-off is included from any point within 5 km of the park gate. Note that park entrance fees are paid separately in cash on arrival, and hotel transfers outside the 5 km radius carry an additional charge.
