About this experience
Paddle through the calm, sheltered waters of Kalpitiya Lagoon on this private two-hour kayaking session. Your guide — a professionally trained kayak host — keeps pace with you and points out the vibrant birdlife and lush mangrove landscapes that line the banks. All gear is provided: boat, paddles, and life jacket, along with a comprehensive safety kit, so you can focus entirely on the water and wildlife around you.
This is a private activity, so it's just your group on the lagoon. Participants must be at least 13 years old. Hotel pickup and drop-off, food, beverages, and gratuities are not included, so arrange transport and pack a snack before you head out. Booking is managed through Lakpura.

Gear You Will Need - Dress appropriately for the weather. Sun can be a bit brutal in Kalpitiya although not humid.
Usually this means lots of Sun tan…we recommend the below;
· Shorts or pants (non-cotton if possible)
· T-shirt (long or short sleeved, non-cotton if possible)
· Shoes you don’t mind getting wet (flip flops are okay)
· Sunglasses (important)
· Binoculars
· Sunscreen
· Baseball cap or sun hat with chin strap
· Waterproof bags for your electronics.
