About this experience
Board your private safari jeep in Polonnaruwa and head to Kaudulla National Park, one of Sri Lanka's most rewarding wildlife destinations. Your English-speaking driver doubles as your tracker, reading the landscape as you travel along the banks of the Kaudulla tank — the reservoir where herds of elephants gather to drink, particularly in the late afternoon. Keep your eyes open for the park's rich birdlife; the calls of unfamiliar tropical species fill the air throughout the five-hour excursion.
Hotel pickup and drop-off from Polonnaruwa are included, along with a water bottle per person. Because this is a private safari, the jeep is yours alone — no shared schedules, no strangers.
