Information is used solely for the purpose of planning and operating your itinerary and communicating with you about your trip.
Lakpura LLC does not sell or rent personal data to third parties. Information is shared only with ground handlers, hotels, airlines, or other service providers to the extent strictly necessary to deliver your confirmed arrangements. Our handling of personal data is consistent with applicable Sri Lankan data protection obligations.
How Are Bookings Confirmed and Paid?
A booking is considered confirmed only once Lakpura LLC issues a written confirmation document and the required deposit or full payment has been received. Verbal agreements and provisional holds do not constitute a confirmed reservation.
Payment terms — including deposit percentages, balance due dates, and accepted currencies — are stated on each individual quotation or booking invoice. All prices quoted are in United States Dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise. Exchange-rate fluctuations do not entitle either party to renegotiate a confirmed booking price.
What Is Lakpura's Cancellation and Refund Policy?
Cancellation charges vary depending on the number of days before the travel start date on which written cancellation is received by Lakpura LLC. The specific schedule applicable to your booking is detailed in your booking confirmation or proposal document. General principles are:
- Cancellations made well in advance of the travel date typically attract a lower charge or an administration fee only.
- Cancellations made closer to the travel date, or after travel has commenced, typically result in higher charges reflecting costs already incurred with hotels, transport operators, and other suppliers.
- No-shows (failure to arrive without prior written notice) are treated as a late cancellation and are generally non-refundable.
- Refunds, where applicable, are processed to the original payment method within a reasonable period, subject to any bank or payment-gateway processing times outside Lakpura LLC's control.
Lakpura LLC strongly recommends that all Tour Participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and curtailment before travel begins.
What Are Lakpura's Responsibilities and Limitations of Liability?
Lakpura LLC acts as a destination management company, arranging and coordinating services provided by independent third parties — including hotels, transport operators, guides, and activity providers. While Lakpura LLC exercises reasonable care in selecting and vetting its supplier network, it cannot accept liability for loss, injury, damage, delay, or disappointment caused by the acts or omissions of any independent supplier or by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Circumstances beyond Lakpura LLC's reasonable control include, but are not limited to: natural disasters, severe weather, civil unrest, strikes, government restrictions, acts of terrorism, pandemics, or infrastructure failures. In such events, Lakpura LLC will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative arrangements or, where that is not possible, a proportionate refund of the affected services.
Lakpura LLC's total liability to any Tour Participant shall not exceed the total amount paid by that participant for the affected service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury or death caused by Lakpura LLC's negligence.
What Content and Intellectual Property Rules Apply to This Website?
All content published on www.lakpura.com — including text, photographs, itineraries, maps, and destination guides — is the property of Lakpura LLC or its licensed content partners and is protected by copyright.
