Nestled approximately 5 km from the scenic town of Nuwara Eliya along the Badulla Road towards Welimada, Avian Breeze Bungalow is a tranquil holiday home designed for those seeking crisp mountain air and a restful escape with family or friends. Nuwara Eliya itself, fondly known as Sri Lanka's "Little England," sits about 180 km into the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka.

Each of the bungalow's individually conceived rooms is equipped with cable television, hot water, a mini bar, Wi-Fi, and a heater — thoughtful touches that keep guests comfortable in the cool highland climate at all times.

The Rooms

The Garden Room, positioned at the entrance of the bungalow, overlooks a beautiful garden and is ideal for guests with a love of nature. The Governor's Suite is designed and furnished to satisfy the most discerning guests, offering a historical ambience complete with a jacuzzi and a fireplace. The Capital Room is luxuriously appointed with its own fireplace, offering warmth and elegance, while the Sunshine Room serves as the bungalow's dedicated family room. Tucked away from the main building, the Rose Room features a private entrance, making it particularly well suited to a romantic retreat.

Dining and Hospitality

The dining area accommodates up to 25 guests, making it a comfortable setting for small parties and family dinners alike. A romantic arrangement for two can also be organised on request. The chef prepares a selection of Sri Lankan and Western dishes, as well as a special outdoor BBQ service. Staff are on hand 24 hours a day, providing attentive, star-class hospitality throughout every guest's stay. The property's beautiful garden is a pleasant place for an evening walk or a quiet cup of tea.

Excursions from Nuwara Eliya

Avian Breeze's location makes it a convenient base for exploring the surrounding region. The team can arrange visits to Horton Plains National Park with its dramatic World's End precipice, the sacred Adam's Peak — also known as Sripada — the Sita Eliya Temple, the Haggala Botanical Gardens, and St. Clairs Falls. Bird watching and biking along specialist trails are also on offer. Since Nuwara Eliya is regarded as the tea capital of the island, guests can visit local tea factory sales outlets and take home some of the finest tea Sri Lanka has to offer.
