Step into an air-conditioned vehicle at your Panadura hotel and head north on this 12-hour private day tour covering two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide drives you first to Dambulla, where five cave temples carved into a granite outcrop shelter over 150 Buddha statues and vivid ceiling murals spanning 2,000 years of Sri Lankan history. From there, the road leads to Sigiriya — an ancient rock fortress rising 200 metres from the jungle plains — where you climb past the famous frescoes and lion-paw gateway to panoramic views across the Cultural Triangle.
