Young barrister Piyumi Segarajasingham returns to eighties Colombo to manage an inherited property in the colonial quarter, where she must navigate family pressures, quirky neighbours, and her lingering thoughts of a stranger from London. Set against the backdrop of Sri Lanka's early civil war, Ashok Ferrey's debut weaves together satire, thriller elements, and sharp social comedy as Piyumi uncovers the secrets hidden behind Serendipity's walls. A witty exploration of identity, family duty, and unexpected connections, told with warmth and acute observation of life in a vanishing era.
