The Karaniya Metta Sutta is one of the Pali discourses on loving-kindness most often chanted in Theravada homes and temples in Sri Lanka. This edition sets the text out in three languages side by side: the Pali, a Sinhala rendering and an English rendering.
An audio disc is included, carrying the text in all three of those languages, so the sutta can be heard as well as read.
Buyers outside Sri Lanka should note that the book itself is a Sinhala-language publication, with the Pali and the English set alongside the Sinhala. Readers with no Sinhala will still be able to follow the Pali and the English, but the surrounding material is not in English.
