About this experience
Board a minivan and spend four hours uncovering the layered history of Jaffna City with an English-speaking guide at your side. Walk the ramparts of the colonial-era Jaffna Fort, browse the shelves of the renowned Jaffna Library, and stand at Naga Vihara — the very spot where the sacred bo sapling was temporarily planted on its journey across Sri Lanka. A complimentary water bottle is provided to keep you refreshed along the way.
The afternoon continues at the ornate Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, one of the most significant Hindu shrines in the country, before moving on to Sangilian Thopu and Manthri Manai for a glimpse into Jaffna's royal past. The tour wraps up at Jaffna Market, where you can pick up local souvenirs for friends and family. Note that entrance tickets, meals, and hotel transfers are not included and are arranged separately.
