About this experience
Saddle up at Sri Lanka's largest horse riding facility, just outside Dambulla. Whether you've never ridden before or you're a seasoned rider, experienced staff walk you through every step — from fitting your helmet and harness to guiding your posture and pace. The private, six-hour session means the horses, the trainers, and the grounds are yours alone, so you move at a speed that suits you.
Riders must be at least 10 years old. All safety equipment, including helmet and harness, is provided, along with full instructions and hands-on assistance throughout. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included, so bring a packed lunch and some cash if you'd like to tip your guide. Lakpura arranges this as a private activity, keeping group sizes small and attention personal.
