Flour

Sri Lankan flour is a staple ingredient used widely in the preparation of breads, roti, string hoppers, hoppers, and various sweets. Most of the wheat used in Sri Lanka is imported and then milled locally. The country has several well-known flour brands, with Prima Ceylon Ltd. being the largest and most prominent. Other notable brands include Ruhunu Foods, Harischandra Mills, and Serendib Flour Mills, which produces the popular brand Seven Star Flour. These companies offer a variety of flour types, including all-purpose, whole wheat, and specialty flours, catering to household cooking, bakeries, and the food manufacturing industry.
