About this experience
Board your private car in Hikkaduwa and head north into Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka's largest forest reserve. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide navigates the park's dense scrub jungle as you scan for leopards — Wilpattu holds one of the highest leopard densities in the world — alongside sloth bears, elephants, and crocodiles resting beside natural lakes called villus. All transport, fuel, parking, and highway tolls are covered; entrance fees are paid separately on the day.
On day two, step into the ancient sacred city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO-listed capital with roots stretching back to the 10th century. Walk among dagobas, moonstone carvings, and the revered Sri Maha Bodhi tree before climbing Mihintale Rock — the site where Buddhism first took root in Sri Lanka. The tour is fully private, runs over two days with one overnight stay, and welcomes guests aged five and above.
