About this experience
Board your private vehicle in Galle and head north into the heart of Sri Lanka's wildlife country. Your first stop is Wilpattu National Park — the island's largest forest reserve — where you ride through dense scrub jungle spotting leopards, sloth bears, elephants, and crocodiles around the park's distinctive natural lakes. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide handles all driving, parking, and highway tolls, and water is provided throughout the day. An overnight stay breaks the journey before day two begins.
On the second day, walk the ancient streets of Anuradhapura, a sacred city with roots stretching back to the 10th century AD, before climbing the steps of Mihintale Rock — the site where Buddhism first took hold in Sri Lanka. This private, two-day tour covers transport in full; hotel accommodation, meals, and site entrance fees are arranged separately.
