Kalutara dagoba, Sri Lanka

Kalutara dagoba called Gangatilake Vihare is located on the southern bank of Kaluganga river. The dagoba was built in the 1960s on the site of a former Portuguese fort. Kalutara Dagoba has the distinction of being the only dagoba in the world entirely hollow. The tourists and pilgrims go into the dagoba to view the murals and miniature dagobas inside.
