Lake View Bungalow Yala (Formally Governors Lodge Tissamaharama), bordering the "Yodha Wewa" Tank, offers a large luxury bungalow for 10 people with 3 well laid out bedrooms with fans and attached toilets with hot water. The view from each bedroom is of the natural habitat surrounding the Lodge. It is a Bird Lover's Paradise, with many varieties of birds and butterflies being regular visitors to the garden.

All floor areas are tiled and the toilets are fitted with modern imported fittings. The bungalow has a high ceiling and the roof is tiled. There is a small swimming pool and a long veranda facing the flowing water of the "Yodha Wewa" Tank.

The Governors Lodge is built on a one acre site which is 10 minutes drive to the Yala junction and another 10 minutes from there to the Yala National Park entrance.

Governors Lodge Tissamaharama provide you with a very clean comfortable King size double bed and a folding bed in each bedroom, along with spotless white linen and pillows. We maintain very high hygienic and service standards.

Meals could be provided if notified at time of booking or the food could be prepared by our chef, if the provisions are brought.

Route Instructions to the Bungalow
1. Coming from Colombo pass through Tissamaharama Town and continue straight on the Kirinda Road.

2. Go over the bridge and then travel on the Yodhawewa Bund with the Yodhawewa Tank (water) on the left and paddy fields on the right.

3. At the end of the Bund is Yodha Kandiya which is a small bend towards the right with small boutiques on either side. Before the road gets straight again, turn left on to Sithulpawwa Road at the bend. (Don’t turn left on to the road at the end of the Tank leading to a Temple).

4. Just as you turn left on to the Sithulpawwa Road, immediately take the first turn to the left with sign board Wanamal Guest House. Travel straight on this road keeping to your right whenever there is a road towards the left. It is approx. 1 Km (5 minutes drive) from here to the bungalow.

5. Pass Wapi written on the wall on the left side, and continue straight passing a yard with old vehicles on the right side.

6. The bungalow is at No. 59 on the left with multicoloured Bougainvillea flowers along the front boundary of the property.
