Deluxe rooms have air-conditioning and fans, hot and cold water with a walk-in shower, a non-alcoholic minibar, an electronic safe, a 32" plasma television with satellite channels and a DVD player, internet, tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board, bottled water, a hair dryer, luxury toiletries, and cotton robes and slippers. The two Executive rooms are more spacious, with a king-size bed, a 40" plasma television, Wi-Fi and a telephone alongside the same comforts.
The interiors pair collections of art in vibrant colours with softer shades of coffee and cream, and the main sitting room has a grand piano where the hosts play soft classical music. Colombo has shopping malls, cafés, restaurants, pubs and night clubs across the city, and the neighbourhood itself has a number of upmarket dining venues. You can walk the Galle Face Green promenade and try the roadside food sold there daily, or visit the Old Parliament, the Pettah Market and Fort Railway Station and its surroundings. Longer excursions to the south of the island are easy to arrange from here.
