Kandy Perahera Pageant, Sri Lanka
Kandy Perahera Pageant is held annually at Kandy, Sri Lanka during July/August. The 235 year old glorious Esala Perahera is the grandest cultural festival held in Sri Lanka. The pageant is held in honor and celebration of the existence of Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha, the palladium of the nation island.
