Nalanda Gedige or Nalanda Image is the only monument in Sri Lanka built in the architectural designing traditions of Pallava architecture of Mahabalipuram in South India.
The Nalanda image house, built solely of stone today houses a few Buddha images, a figure of Ganesha and Bodhisatva figures.
